Every visitor decision at a staffed gate ends the same way: you record the entry in Mission Control's Entry Management panel. This guide covers just that step — from picking your access point to the moment the gate opens. For finding the visitor in the first place, see *Search Properties and People in Mission Control*.
The access point you choose is saved on the entry record and is the gate that opens when you approve.
Select the destination property and the visitor — by searching, or by scanning a license or QR code (see *How to Scan a QR Code in Mission Control* and *Scanning Driver's Licenses*). Once both are selected, the Entry Management panel shows the target property and the selected visitor, with the visitor's photo when one is on file.
If the person isn't in the system yet, use Create Visitor — see *Create a Visitor at the Gate*.
A confirmation message names the visitor and property (for example, "Entry approved for … at …"), the panel clears for the next vehicle, and the record lands in the community's entry log.
When you approve an entry with an access point selected, MyWatchtower opens that gate for you — the same way whether the community's hardware runs on Brivo or HID. If the record saves but the hardware doesn't answer, you'll see "Entry recorded, but door did not open": the entry is logged, but you'll need to open the gate another way — try the header gate control (see *Open a Gate from Mission Control*) and report persistent hardware trouble to your community admin.
