This guide is for community admins setting up an entry kiosk at an unstaffed gate and managing its settings afterward. For what visitors see at the kiosk, see Entry Kiosk Overview (Unstaffed Gates).
A kiosk tablet is paired to a specific Access Point using a pairing code created in the web app. The pairing code determines which community and gate the kiosk belongs to — there is no gate picker on the tablet itself.
Registration is permanent. Once a tablet is paired, only JEKA can reset it — so double-check you generated the code on the correct Access Point before confirming. If a kiosk needs to move to a different gate, contact JEKA support.
Before the tablet goes into service, the Kiosk Setup screen offers device configuration in a few categories:
Once configured, the setup screen locks the tablet into kiosk mode and launches the visitor screen.
The Kiosk Setup screen includes a diagnostics upload button, and the kiosk keeps its own diagnostic records of app problems, so JEKA support can troubleshoot a tablet without a site visit.
Kiosk behavior is managed under Settings, in the Unstaffed Gates tab:
With the kiosk paired and configured, visitors see a main screen with a card for each entry method your community has enabled:
For pairing resets or hardware questions, contact JEKA through the Contact Support form in the app.
