Enter with a PIN at the Kiosk

At communities with unstaffed gates, a PIN code typed on the kiosk keypad gets you in without anyone's help. This guide covers the visitor side; for how residents create and share PINs, see *Using Kiosk PIN Codes*.

Two kinds of PIN, one keypad

Both are typed the same way at the kiosk; you don't need to know which kind you have.

Using the keypad

A small camera self-view stays on screen with a REC indicator and a notice that recording is in progress; the kiosk attaches a short video clip to the entry record.

Wrong attempts lock the keypad

Repeated wrong attempts temporarily lock the keypad for about a minute. Double-check the exact digits with your host before trying again — PINs are changed whenever the host regenerates them.

If you enter an emergency PIN

Some communities reserve certain PINs for emergency use. If you type one, the kiosk asks you to confirm before continuing and notes that the community will be notified; every emergency-PIN use is reviewed. Confirm only if you're actually using an emergency code — otherwise cancel and re-enter your own PIN.

Need help?

Tap the Help pill on the kiosk's main screen — see *Get Help at the Kiosk*. Entries made with a PIN appear in the property's entry records like any other entry.
