Communities with unstaffed gates or entry kiosks can allow entry with a PIN code typed on the kiosk keypad. There are two kinds of PINs: a personal PIN for an individual guest or vendor, and a shared Property PIN for your whole property. This guide explains both.
PIN codes are enabled by your community's management. If you don't see the PIN options described here, contact your community's management office.
You give a guest or vendor their own entry PIN on the Access step of the creation wizard — see Giving a Guest a Kiosk PIN for the steps and the custom-PIN rules.
Some communities also allow a single shared PIN for your whole property, managed from the PIN tab on your Property page — see Property PIN vs. Personal PIN.
Your own PIN codes also appear in your wallet — see Property PIN vs. Personal PIN for how the two kinds differ.
Repeated wrong attempts temporarily lock the keypad for about a minute, so make sure your visitor has the exact code.
Communities can also issue PINs reserved for emergency use. If one is entered at a kiosk, the kiosk first asks the visitor to confirm before continuing and notes that the community will be notified; every emergency-PIN use is reviewed. These PINs are managed by community staff and are not part of the guest or property PIN flows above.
Open the Help Center from the navigation menu, or contact your community's management office.
