Create an Access Schedule

Create an Access Schedule

Schedules define *when* doors open — groups (Brivo) and access levels (HID) pair each door with a schedule to say when their access applies. Community staff manage them at Access > Schedules ("Create and manage time-based access schedules"), one consolidated list for both providers. For how schedules fit into the bigger access model, see "Groups, Schedules, and Access Levels".

System schedules are read-only

Rows marked System are provider-managed built-ins. They cannot be edited or deleted — create your own schedule when you need something different.

Create a schedule

Click Create Schedule and fill in the dialog:

1. Schedule Name — required, maximum 32 characters, with a live "/32 characters" counter. 2. Presets — optional one-click chips for 24/7 or Business Hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00). A preset is the fastest route for the two most common shapes. 3. Select Days — toggle Monday through Sunday, plus Holiday. 4. Per selected day, set one or more time blocks with a Start time and End time. Add Time Block adds extra blocks to the same day — for example a morning block and an evening block.

The dialog validates before saving:

The schedule detail page

Open a schedule to see each day's blocks drawn on a 24-hour timeline, with per-day edit and add buttons for later adjustments.

No manual push

Changes to schedules are queued and delivered to your community's controllers automatically — there is no manual push step. Recent changes may take a short while to land on the panels.

Deleting a schedule

Deleting is permanent, and on HID the schedule "is also removed from every controller it is pushed to." If access levels (HID) or groups (Brivo) still use the schedule, the deletion is refused: the dialog stays open and lists exactly what is still using it — each dependent access level or group appears as a link you can open directly — the Delete button disables, and Cancel becomes Close. Detach the schedule everywhere first, then delete.
