Adding Household Members to Your Property

Your property's resident list determines who is recognized at the gate and who can sign in to MyWatchtower for your home. This guide explains how new household members get added, what you can manage yourself, and who to contact for changes you cannot make on your own.

How a new resident joins your property

Residents are not invited by email. Instead, each new household member creates their own MyWatchtower account and submits a property request, which your community's staff review and approve.

Every adult in the household can join this way. Each person gets their own login, their own wallet of QR and PIN codes, and their own notification settings — and can add their own profile photo from their Account page.

Household members who do not need an account

Family members who will never sign in — children, for example — can be added as permanent guests instead.

If your account has photo permission, the wizard also lets you attach a photo, which helps gate staff recognize the family member at the gate.

What you can manage yourself

From your property hub you can add and remove guests, vendors, and vehicles, set entry schedules, create entry QR codes, and review your property's entry activity. Keeping these lists current makes arrivals smoother for everyone in the household.

What staff handle for you

You cannot add or remove other residents directly. Community staff maintain the resident list itself:

If a request seems stuck or you are not sure who to contact, use the Support page in the app to reach the team, and we will point you in the right direction.
