Manage Website Pages
The Manage Website Pages module lets administrators create, edit and organize the public‑facing pages of your community’s website. With this tool, you can keep residents informed about amenities, board members, neighborhood bylaws or upcoming projects without needing to write HTML. Pages can be public or private. Users can also incorporate pages into the menu if desired.
Key Features
- Page list overview: The manage pages dashboard displays every published and hidden page in your community, along with its URL slug, preview text and creation date. A switch on each row toggles whether a page is public or hidden so you can stage content before releasing it to residents.
- Create new pages: Use the Create New Page button to add a page — see Create a Custom Page for the full walkthrough, from naming and URL path to composing content.
- Edit and delete pages: Each page row has icons to edit or delete. Editing opens the page editor where you can change the layout, update text or media, and configure SEO settings. Deleting removes the page permanently, so exercise caution when cleaning up old content.
- Bulk actions: A checkbox next to each page and a “Select All” option allow you to perform actions on multiple pages at once, such as toggling visibility or deleting.
- Visibility control: When a page is set to Hidden, it remains accessible to administrators but not to the public — see Create a Custom Page for staging a page as Hidden while you draft it.
Best Practices
- Plan your navigation: Before creating pages, sketch out the structure of your site so visitors can easily find information. Use the Manage Menu module to arrange the order of pages and set parent/child relationships.
- Use clear, descriptive titles: Page titles appear in navigation menus and browser tabs. Choose titles that accurately describe the content (e.g., “Community Rules,” “Amenities,” “Board of Directors”).
- Preview before publishing: Keep new pages hidden until they are complete. Review how they look on different devices and test links before making them public.
- Archive unused pages: Rather than deleting a page outright, consider hiding it if you may need to reference the content later. Deleting is permanent.
The Manage Website Pages module centralizes website content so your community’s online presence stays organized and up to date. Pair it with the Manage Menu settings to control how pages appear in your navigation and the News & Updates module for time‑sensitive announcements.
