Property Module Overview

The Property module is MyWatchtower's hub for a single property and everything attached to it — people, vehicles, entry codes, and activity. Residents see their own property; community staff can open any property from the Community lists or Mission Control.

Accessing a property

• Residents: select Property in the left navigation. If you belong to more than one property, pick the one you want.
• Staff: open a property from the Community > Properties list, from Mission Control's Property Search, or from any record that links to it.

The property page is organized into tabs: Property, Guests, Vendors, Restricted, Vehicles, Entries, PIN, QR Codes, and — for community staff only — Credentials and Audit. Tabs appear only when the matching community feature is enabled (for example, the PIN tab requires kiosk PIN codes and the QR tab requires QR codes).

Property tab

The default tab shows the address details and community information for the property, including any gate-attendant notes, plus the property's Contact List — the ordered priority list gate staff call when a visitor needs approval (see "How to modify your Contact List").

Guests, Vendors, and Restricted tabs

These tabs list the people authorized (or denied) for this property. Creating any of them now runs through the unified creation wizard — a full-screen flow on mobile and a side-stepper on desktop:

• Guests and vendors are created in two steps: Details (name, notes, optional vehicle link) and Access (permanent or a date range, an optional entry schedule of allowed days and time windows, and optionally a QR code and/or kiosk PIN issued alongside).
• Restricted visitors are created in a single step and are denied entry at the gate. Staff can also restrict someone community-wide.

Always register people under their full legal name — gate staff rely on exact spelling in Mission Control's search, and notes you add are shown to them at the gate.

Vehicles tab

Registered vehicles for the property, created through the same wizard. Linking vehicles speeds up credential assignment and pairs with license-plate recognition where the community has it.

Entries tab

A log of entries recorded for this property, searchable by name. Entries arrive from Mission Control, unstaffed kiosks, and app-based door opens (shown as the "Watchtower App" entry type).

PIN tab

Where property-wide kiosk PINs are enabled, this tab manages the shared Property Kiosk PIN visitors can type at an unstaffed gate: enable or disable it, Generate Random or Set Custom (respecting the community's minimum length of 4–12 digits), and Regenerate to retire the old code instantly. A usage history below lists every entry made with the PIN. Treat the PIN like a key — share it carefully and regenerate periodically.

QR Codes tab

Lists the entry QR codes issued for the property. New codes are created through the wizard with a usage type of one-time, limited uses, or unlimited.

Credentials and Audit tabs (staff only)

• Credentials lists the Brivo/HID access credentials tied to the property; new ones are issued through the credential wizard.
• Audit is a chronological record of changes to the property's data — who changed what, and when.

Best practices

• Keep guest, vendor, and vehicle lists current; remove entries that no longer visit.
• Document the reason when restricting someone so staff understand the context.
• Review the Audit tab periodically to trace unexpected changes.
