Add a Community Contact

The Contacts directory shows residents who's who in the community — board members, management, and staff — as cards grouped into sections. This article covers the admin task of adding one contact (and the section that holds it), then editing or removing it later. For the resident view and the Get in Touch form, see the Contacts and Contact Us in Horizon article.

Before You Begin

Contacts are edited inline on the Contacts page itself — there is no separate admin screen or Admin Center card for them. Open your community site's Contacts page while signed in with a role that has contacts write access. If you don't see the Add Section or Add Contact buttons, ask your site administrator about contacts permissions.

Step 1: Create a Section (If Needed)

Contacts live inside labeled sections — for example Management, Support, or Board — each rendered as a header with a grid of contact cards.

Step 2: Add the Contact

A card with no details beyond the name reads "No contact details available", so fill in at least a position or a way to reach the person.

Editing and Deleting

Hover over any contact card to reveal its edit (pencil) and delete (red X) buttons.

Be deliberate with deletions:

If a board seat changes hands, editing the existing card (new name, new term year) is usually cleaner than deleting and re-adding.

Where Residents See the Directory

Access to the Contacts page is permission-based, so your community can keep the directory for signed-in residents. Alongside it, the public Contact Us page carries the "Get in Touch" form — open to everyone, and linked from the homepage's Contact Us button. Form submissions are emailed to the community's primary contact email, set in Community Settings under Community Details; keep that address current, because the office inbox is the only record of submissions.
