Hardware Settings in the App

Communities using Brivo or HID access control have a Hardware page under Settings. Staff with hardware permissions use it to review the community's controllers and access points (doors and gates) and to work with them day to day. Both providers appear on the same page with the same layout, so for most tasks you don't need to know which provider is behind a given door.

Controllers and doors at a glance

The page lists the community's controllers and their access points, each with online/offline status. When a controller is offline, its doors show as disconnected, and live actions on those doors are disabled with the reason shown.

Opening a door from the page

You can open an access point directly from the Hardware page — MyWatchtower pulses an HID door or activates a Brivo gate, whichever applies. You can also change a door's mode from here.

Configuration push states (HID)

Configuration changes for HID doors are delivered to the door's panel in the background. Each door shows where that delivery stands: applied on the panel, still pending, or failed. A failed push shows the error, and the change can be pushed again.

Door locations and app opening (My Doors)

Each door can be given a location and geofence, along with a setting for whether it can be opened from the app. Doors made openable this way appear on the My Doors screen for nearby users, so set the location accurately.

Resyncing HID controllers

The Hardware page can resync HID controllers from the cloud, refreshing the app's records of them.

Adding and removing hardware

Registering new controllers and doors — and deleting them — is not done in MyWatchtower. That provisioning happens in JEKA's internal admin portal, so contact JEKA support when hardware needs to be added, replaced, or retired. Brivo panels and doors are records of hardware managed in Brivo and synced into MyWatchtower.

Who sees this page

The Hardware page requires the hardware-management permission on your role, and it only appears in communities using Brivo or HID.
