Managing Restricted Guests and Vendors

The Restricted tab is where you view and manage people who are not allowed to enter your community. You can restrict both guests (individual visitors) and vendors (businesses or delivery services). This guide explains how the restricted list works.

Getting to the Restricted tab

You'll see every restricted guest and vendor for your property. Restricted people and businesses are denied entry at the gate, and gate staff are alerted whenever one of them shows up.

Why restrict someone?

Common reasons include:

Adding a restricted guest or vendor

Restrictions are created in the same creation wizard used for regular guests, in a shortened flow — a restricted visitor is a deny-list entry, so there are no access dates, schedules, or entry codes to configure.

The person or business now appears on your restricted list and will be denied entry at the gate. Restrictions are permanent until you remove them.

Community-wide restrictions (staff only)

Community staff can restrict someone from the entire community, not just one property, by ticking the globally-restricted option in the same wizard. Community-wide restrictions are managed from the community's Restricted list and apply at every property. If you believe someone should be banned community-wide, contact your community's management office.

Editing a restricted entry

Open the person from the Restricted list to update their name or notes — or their photo, if your account has photo permission — then save. From a regular guest's or vendor's page you can also mark them restricted — they then move to your Restricted list.

Removing someone from the restricted list

Once removed, they are no longer blocked and can be admitted like any other visitor. If they should have regular access again, add them back as a normal guest or vendor with the dates you want.
