Set the Message of the Day

The Message of the Day (MOTD) is a persistent banner on your community members' dashboards. Unlike an announcement, nothing is sent — the banner simply stays in place until you change or disable it, which makes it right for standing notices: office hours, ongoing roadwork, pool season dates.

Where it lives

The MOTD is part of the community profile: go to Settings > Profile and find the Message of the Day section.

Steps

• Step 1: Turn on Enable Message of the day.
• Step 2: Type your message — between 1 and 200 characters, tracked by a "/200 characters" counter.
• Step 3: Save your changes. The Profile tab shows a live save state as you edit, and warns you if you try to leave with unsaved changes.

Where residents see it

The message appears as a banner on community members' dashboards — resident and staff views alike — and stays there until you disable or change it. Rotate it from time to time so residents keep reading it.

Disabling it

Turn Enable Message of the day off and save. The banner disappears from dashboards.

When to use an announcement instead
