Settings Module Overview

The Settings module is where admins configure their community. Select Settings in the left navigation. The tabs you see depend on your permissions and enabled features: Profile, Settings, Hardware, Camera Settings, Unstaffed Gates, Announcements, Roles, and — for JEKA staff only — System.

Profile

General community information and the resident-facing message banner, laid out on the same card surface as your personal account settings. As you edit, the action bar shows a live save state, and if you try to leave with unsaved changes MyWatchtower warns you before anything is lost.

There are no invite settings — joining a community now works through address search and property requests, so there is no invite name or sign-up link to configure.

Settings (community features)

Feature toggles that apply community-wide, with the same action bar and unsaved-changes warning as the Profile tab:

Announcements

One-shot mass sends to your community by Email and Push Notification (SMS is not offered). An announcement goes out immediately and cannot be recalled. See Send a Mass Announcement.

Hardware

For communities on Brivo or HID (one provider per community), with two views: Controllers and Access Points. Detail dialogs cross-link controllers and the doors they drive, staff with gate permissions can open a door directly, and Refresh re-checks hardware status. Doors show as disconnected when their controller is offline.

Roles

Where admins manage the community and property role builders — the plain-language category cards that define what each role can do, plus the role hierarchies. See "Managing Roles and Permissions" for the full guide.
