The Account area is where you view and manage your personal details, notification preferences, sign-in security, community memberships, and how the app looks. It is available to every signed-in user — residents, gate staff, managers, and administrators — although a few options vary with your role and community settings.
| Section | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Personal Details | Your profile information and contact details — your profile photo (which replaces the automatically generated initials avatar once you add one), first and last name, email address (with an Edit button to change it), and phone number. |
| Notifications | How and when MyWatchtower reaches you: switches for email notifications, push notifications, and incident reports. SMS is not offered. |
| Security | How you sign in: update your password via an emailed reset link, turn Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on or off, and delete your account. |
| Communities | The communities where your access applies, and how to add more — joining works through an address search and a property request. |
| Appearance | How MyWatchtower looks on this device: Light and Dark preview cards, with a CURRENT chip on the active theme. |
Editable sections share one persistent action bar — pinned to the bottom of the screen on desktop, at the end of the section on mobile. While you have edits, it reads Unsaved changes and offers two buttons: Discard to throw the edits away, and Save (labelled Save changes on mobile) to apply them. The bar also tells you when a field needs attention, shows Saving your changes in progress, confirms All changes saved, and offers Retry if a save fails.
