Getting Started: Creating Your Account

Create a MyWatchtower account, add your phone number and your home address, verify your email address, then wait for your community office to approve your request.

Create a MyWatchtower account to manage the guests, the vehicles and the entry codes of your home. This article is for new residents. You do not need an invite code: create an account, then find your address.

Create your account

Open the MyWatchtower app, or go to the sign-up page on the web. The page is named Create your account.

You can sign up with Google, Apple or Facebook, or with your email address.

To sign up with Google, Apple or Facebook:

1. Select the button of the provider at the top of the page.

2. Approve the sign-in with that provider. You do not make a MyWatchtower password.

To sign up with your email address:

1. Under or use email, type your First name, your Last name and your Email address.

2. Type a Password, then type it again in Confirm password. A meter shows the strength of the password.

3. Select the box that says that you are over 13 years old and agree to the terms.

4. Select Create account.

If the page says This email is already registered, you already have an account. Select Sign in instead and use that account.

Add your details

After you sign up, the Welcome steps start.

1. What is your phone number? Type your Phone number, then select Continue. Your community office and gate staff use it to reach you about entries at the gate. Nobody else sees it.

2. Where do you live? Type your home address in Home address. The search starts at 3 characters. Select your home in the list.

3. Is this your home? Check the property that MyWatchtower found. If it is your home, select Yes, this is my home. If it is not, select Edit the address and search again.

If the list does not show your address, type the full address and select Use this address. If MyWatchtower finds one property for that address, it asks you to confirm it. If that property is not your home, select No, this is not my home.

If MyWatchtower finds no property, or you select No, this is not my home, the page We could not find your property opens. Your address is then not in a community that MyWatchtower serves yet. Contact your community office, and have your address ready. Select Exit to my dashboard to leave the steps.

Verify your email address

If you signed up with your email address, MyWatchtower asks you to verify it at the end of the steps. The Verify your email page shows the address that MyWatchtower sent the link to.

1. Open the email from MyWatchtower.

2. Open the link in the email.

If the email does not arrive, look in your spam folder. To get a new email, select Resend email.

Complete your profile

The gate directory lists you by name, and the kiosk calls your phone when a visitor asks for you. If your account has no first name, last name or phone number, the Complete your profile page opens after you sign in.

1. Type each detail that the page asks for.

2. Select Save and continue. The page that you opened then shows.

Wait for approval

When you confirm your home, MyWatchtower sends a request to your community office. Until the office approves it, your dashboard shows Your request is waiting for approval with the Pending status. MyWatchtower sends you a notification when the office makes a decision.

After the approval, your dashboard shows your property, your guests, your vehicles and your entry codes.
