Using My Doors

My Doors lets you open doors and gates you have access to right from the MyWatchtower app when you are nearby — no card, clicker, or code required. This guide is for residents.

What My Doors Does

My Doors shows the doors and gates in your community that your account is allowed to open. Because it is proximity-based, the app uses your device's location: when you are near a door or gate you have access to, you can open it with a tap.

Where to Find It

• My Doors page — open My Doors from the app.
• Dashboard widget — a My Doors widget appears on your Dashboard when you have doors you can open from the app.
• Wallet — your doors are also gathered in the Wallet drawer alongside your QR and PIN codes.

If you do not see My Doors anywhere, your community has not set up app-openable doors for your account. The widget only appears when there is at least one door you can open.

Opening a Door or Gate

• Step 1: Walk up to the door or gate.
• Step 2: Open My Doors from the Dashboard widget, the Wallet, or the My Doors page.
• Step 3: Find the door in your list — nearby doors are the ones you can act on.
• Step 4: Tap to open it.

Troubleshooting

• A door will not open. Make sure you are physically close to it — My Doors works when you are nearby, not from across the community.
• Location prompt. Because My Doors relies on where you are, the app needs permission to use your device's location. If you declined the prompt, enable location for MyWatchtower in your phone's settings.
• A door is missing. Which doors you can open is set by your community. If a door you use is not listed, ask your community's management office to review your access.
